Based on what you have learned in this course, you have developed a strategy to improve organizational performance, you will create a high-level presentation highlighting key points of your strategy.

Assignment Instructions

Throughout this course, you have learned different concepts and aspects of leadership. In today’s competitive global business innovation and technology are necessary to improve the performance of an organization. Leaders are challenged with implanting innovative ideas and need to develop an effective strategy to implement innovation or new technologies. When implementing innovation or new technologies, leaders have to keep in mind the importance of corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and DEI.

Your project for this course is to implement an innovative idea/strategy to improve organizational performance. As the CEO of a company, you recognize that the organization’s performance has been declining and you need to develop an innovative plan to improve performance. You also recognize that to improve performance you need to develop a strategy that includes diversity, equity, and inclusion. The strategy should include the leadership philosophy to drive the organization and ensure the sustainability of organizational performance. Include in your plan/strategy any data or metrics required to monitor and drive any changes necessary to ensure performance improvement and sustainability.

 

Initial Discussion Post 

In this discussion, you will post your presentation with a brief introduction to your classmates on your project. Your initial post should be at least 100 words and include your 4-5 minute presentation video with transcripts or closed captioning. Your initial response is due by Thursday at 11:59 PM ET.

  • Create a 4-5 minute video presentation featuring both you on camera and a slide deck of at least 5 slides that would show an organization your strategy for implementing your innovation. Discuss what you have included in your plan and why. Make sure you include DEI as part of your strategy presentation.

Response to Classmates

Respond to at least two of your colleagues’ posts. Your response should provide your thoughts on your classmates’ presentations. Evaluate the presentation as if you are a member of the leadership team at a company considering implementing this strategy. Consider how the plan could be better. Responses should be respectful, contain at least 200 words, including references if necessary, and ask questions to promote further conversation on the topic. Your responses to classmates are due by Sunday at 11:59 PM ET.

Submission Requirements

  • Post a 4-5 minute video presentation featuring both you on camera and a slide deck of at least 5 slides that would show an organization your strategy for implementing your innovation. Discuss what you have included in your plan and why. Make sure you include DEI as part of your strategy presentation.
  • Share your final presentation in the discussion and comment on classmates’ strategies & presentations.
