Your Task

There is no shortage of ethical decisions facing organizations today. These decisions may relate to issues such as environmental concerns, government regulations, diversity in the workplace, employee safety, and labor practices. At any given moment, a leader may be confronted with a multitude of ethical decisions. When a person faces an ethical situation, they process the facts through a set of beliefs. They have formed opinions or beliefs about their past experiences. Their actions reflect the beliefs formed by what they have experienced.

 

Initial Discussion Post 

Discuss how today’s corporations have recognized the importance of business ethics and the relationship between business ethics and corporate social responsibilities (CSRs).  Include in your discussion some methods organizations have implemented to strengthen the relationship between ethics and CSR. Provide some examples that support your discussion.

Your initial post should be at least 250 words. Your initial response is due by Thursday at 11:59 PM ET.

Response to Classmates

Respond to at least two of your colleagues’ posts. Your response should provide your thoughts on your classmates’ discussion concerning business ethics, and CSR, and provide your experiences. Responses should be respectful, contain at least 100 words, including references, and ask questions to promote further conversation on the topic.
