You’ve made it to Week 5! We hope you have enjoyed the course and apply what you have studied to your academic and professional life. In the spirit of looking ahead, your Problem Solving Action Plan assessment is designed to help you take what you have learned and apply it in your real life. This assessment is a culmination of what you have learned in the course.
In your academic, personal, and professional life you will need to be able to solve problems. To do this, you need to be able to determine which activities help you achieve your goals on the job or in your daily life. In addition, you must be able to evaluate the effectiveness of your work practices. In this assessment, you respond to questions to demonstrate your ability to summarize practices and habits that contribute to successful academic study and professional development.

Assessment Deliverable
Complete each section of the Problem Solving Action Plan. In this action plan you answer questions about solving problems related to overcoming challenges, goal setting, time management, and communication.

Problem Solving Action Plan
As a student and in the workplace, you will need to be able to solve problems. Think about what you have learned this week, and complete Parts 1–4 of this worksheet to apply your problem-solving skills to help you overcome challenges, set goals, manage your time, and communicate with others.
Part 1: Overcoming Challenges
In Week 1, you completed the Success Prep Inventory (located in Ch. 2, Section 2.1.2 of your myBook, Powered by zyBooks) in which you were asked, “As you begin at the University of Phoenix, what do you think is your biggest challenge?” Reflect on this challenge and what you have learned over the past 5 weeks.
